Led by Lisa Zappala Wood, we help individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and communities resolve disputes with respect, professionalism, and practical solutions.
Our services include mediation for family and divorce matters, workplace and employment conflicts, business disputes, landlord-tenant issues, neighborhood disagreements, and other civil conflicts. We also offer facilitation, conflict coaching, and customized dispute resolution services designed to help people communicate more effectively and reach mutually beneficial agreements.

About my journey
I'm Lisa Zappala Wood.
I have been a licensed attorney in MA and NH since 2004. In 2012, I trained as a mediator and finally found real inspiration in my work. Following my Basic Mediation Course, I began volunteering at a non-profit handling mediations of small claims and pre-criminal matters. Later, I also took courses in landlord/tenant mediation, divorce and couples mediation, elder/family mediation, as well as other mediation specialties and in the last 8 years have expanded my skillset to include conflict coaching, restorative justice, facilitation, ombuds services. I was the Executive Director at a non-profit Mediation in Massachusetts for 8 years. I am also trained as a Collaborative Attorney. I am currently practicing and providing conflict resolution services in the State of New Hampshire.
I am available for remote sessions anywhere in the State of NH and in person services in or near Waterville Valley, NH or at Circuit Courts for court referred matters. During my time at the mediation center, I was the primary trainer at the center developing programs and workshops for both adults and children. I am on the NH State Court panels in the Circuit Court for small claims/civil and and landlord/tenant, but I am able to provide private services for a wide variety of case topics. I am currently a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Academy of Family Mediators. I continue to learn from others in order to maintain and expand my skillset.
I am an avid hiker, camper and skier. I am a ski instructor (alpine and telemark) in Waterville Valley working with people of all ages but particularly children. I have two adult children and one grandchild. In all aspects of my life I enjoy helping people learn and practice new skills.
In my facilitative conflict resolution practice, I focus on listening and helping my clients think about the why in what they are asking for. What do they really need to resolve the issues they are having and how they can be creative in getting those needs met. I would love to to hear from you and find out how I can help you resolve your conflict. I can also provide trainings and workshops for your staff or group to help deal with conflict in the workplace or within an organization or help your staff build skills in active listening and de-escalation.
